IMPROVING COMBAT EFFECTIVENESS THROUGH INCREASED ENERGY EFFICIENCY, REDUCED FUEL CONSUMPTION AND MAXIMIZING VALUABLE RESOURCES

PM FSS is an Army program office that enhances the combat effectiveness and quality of life for the Soldier by providing equipment, systems, and technical support to sustain and improve the environments in which they live, train, and operate.

In 2013, PM FSS came to ADS for procurement assistance in support of the initial fielding of a more energy efficient base camp configuration. The new system resulted in reduced fuel consumption and, most importantly, a savings of more than 3.2 million gallons of water usage per year, per unit.

ADS supported PM FSS by offering an existing, fast and efficient contract vehicle for them to utilize and by providing full supply chain management oversight to ensure on-time delivery. To ensure quality control, we also conducted in-depth inspections at the manufacturer’s facility and participated in weekly program status updates with the customer.
