WARRIOR WEDNESDAY: GENERAL MARTIN E. DEMPSEY, USA, RETIRED, TO SPEAK AT EVENT

Virginia Beach, Va. May 2, 2017 – ADS, Inc. announced this week that General Martin E. Dempsey, USA, Retired, will be the keynote speaker for their 10^th annual Warrior Expo East in Virginia Beach this July.

General Dempsey retired after 41 years of military service. In the past five years, he served as the Chief of Staff of the United States Army and then as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. As Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, he was the senior officer in the Armed Forces and the military advisor to the Secretary of Defense and to the President. General Dempsey served in both Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom, accumulating 42 months in combat and earning numerous awards of distinction.

The ADS-hosted expo is a premier industry event focused on bringing end users, program managers, and procurement specialists together with industry-leading solutions partners in an environment designed specifically for government and defense organizations.

General Dempsey’s address will kick off the two-day event on Thursday, July 13 at 0900. Following the address, attendees will have first-hand access to thousands of innovative products, the ability to participate in training and educational courses, and see the latest technologies in action through interactive exhibits and demonstrations.

This event is free to attend and only open to military, federal, state and local government agencies, law enforcement, first responders, qualified defense or government contractors, exhibiting suppliers/manufacturers, and their guests. Official military, agency, and/or government-issued ID is required to gain entry. Registration is now open for the Warrior Expo East, which will be hosted at the Virginia Beach Convention Center on July 13-14, 2017.

About General Martin E. Dempsey, USA, Retired

General Martin E. Dempsey retired after 41 years of military service. During his time in the Army, he commanded a Cavalry Troop, a Tank Battalion, a Cavalry Regiment, a Tank Division, and United States Central Command. He served in both Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom accumulating 42 months in combat. General Dempsey served as the Chief of Staff of the United States Army and then the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. His military awards include the Bronze Star with valor device, the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, and Distinguished Service Medals from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard, among others. In 2015, General Dempsey was named one of the 100 most influential leaders in the World by TIME magazine.
