Virginia Beach, VA, June 9, 2016 — The world’s most technologically advanced navy is now armed with the world’s most technologically advanced automated external defibrillator.
Cardiac Science announced today that the U.S. Navy’s Military Sealift Command (MSC), headquartered in Norfolk, Va., has purchased 175 Powerheart G5 automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to equip its fleet.
The MSC is the leading provider of ocean transportation for the U.S. Department of Defense, operating approximately 170 ships daily around the world. The Powerheart G5 units will replace older Cardiac Science defibrillators as the MSC's shipboard AEDs, helping protect Navy service members and officials during critical missions.
“Powerheart G5 AEDs are designed to be tough, portable, and effective in field situations and in theater. We're proud that Military Sealift Command has chosen Powerheart G5s to help protect people on its ships across the globe.” – Cardiac Science President Al Ford
