Atlantic Diving Supply Employees Pack Care Packages to Deployed Troops

Atlantic Diving Supply employees are certainly no strangers to packing boxes.

But recently, dozens of ADS employees took some time out of their offices to pack 200 special care packages for service members deployed to Qatar and on-board the USS Abraham Lincoln -- everything from snacks and gum to razors and water guns. Of course, they managed to slip in little ADS swag, a few good jokes and a whole lot of love, too.

“These events are one of the things our employees love the most about working here, and it’s always one of their favorite events,” said Jordan Hall, ADS Employee Engagement Manager, whose job centers around planning special events to inspire ADS employees. “It’s not just a great way to give back, it gives every one of us here a chance to connect, on a more personal level, with the people we serve every day.”

It’s not the first time ADS partnered with nonprofit Troopster to organize the packing event, and it definitely won’t be the last.

"We work to find the best ways possible to get care packages to our troops no matter where in the world they may be or what missions they might be serving,” says Troopster CEO & Founder Chelsea Mandello. “Children to adults, everyone wants to support those they love and those who defend our country.”

Not only are such events a great way to give back, said Hall, participating is easy on everyone’s schedule. During four separate, half-hour packing sessions, more than 100 ADS employees joined the fun.

It’s that spirit of giving back to our military that makes Hall love her job more everytime the company participates.

“I think it shows how much our employees care about our troops, and how much ADS appreciates its employees,” Hall said. “It’s great fun, and we all can’t wait for the next one.”
