Altobridge

Cutting the Cost of Communications

Altobridge

Altobridge wireless network solutions provide a lower capital and lower operating cost option for the delivery of voice and mobile broadband services, enabling mobile network operators to connect unconnected communities and enterprises at minimum cost. Central to this lie a series of patented and patent-pending technologies namely; Data at the Edge™ (data optimisation in wireless networks), Local Connectivity™ (local voice switching) and Split Architecture™ (transmission and power optimisation), all of which – individually and combined – drive down communications delivery costs for mobile network operators, by reducing backhaul and power consumption costs. Altobridge solutions are deployed and operational in over 20 countries worldwide. The company is headquartered in Ireland and has 4 further bases in Malaysia, Indonesia, China and the U.S. covering sales, R&D, customer support and manufacturing.

A global leader in wireless network solutions, Altobridge designs equipment that lowers costs for mobile and broadband services. The affordability of Altobridge’s products allows mobile networks to include unconnected communities, businesses, and organizations with minimal long-term costs. The company’s solutions are currently deployed in 20 countries.

Equipment by Altobridge falls into one of three types: Data at the Edge™, which provides data optimization; Local Connectivity™, a local voice switching technology; or Split Architecture™, necessary for transmission and power optimization. An on-demand service, Split Architecture™ uses the lowest level of satellite bandwidth and integrates with a satellite communication bearer. Keeping local traffic local, Local Connectivity™ eliminates backhaul transmission costs and can be used with an existing network. Altobridge’s Lite-Site™, a solar-powered 2G/3G system for remote areas, incorporates2G/3G and VSAT technologies.
