ADS Customer MRO Kitting Success – 1-4BCT

Based at Fort Bliss, Texas, the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division (1-4BCT) is a storied combat unit, having first served as the 1st Expeditionary Division in World War I. Today, brigade readiness is dependent upon over 3,000 pieces of mission-critical equipment including trucks, generators, weapons, tool kits, support equipment, ASL, and other ancillary equipment. When duty calls, the brigade is responsible for the loading and movement of all equipment for pre-deployment to the National Training Center and then actual deployment to theater by rail, wheel vehicle, and air. In order to transport this equipment by train, brigade transportation personnel must properly secure each piece to local carriers and rail cars. To accomplish this task, they require special equipment which they previously ordered piece-by-piece on an as-needed basis. This resulted in only one serviceable set of rail maintenance tools (with no back-up), threatening to cost the unit valuable time. To improve their mission capabilities, the brigade worked hand-in-hand with ADS to design a comprehensive TEK Solutions™ Rail Kit ensuring deployment to theater in a timely manner. With the new TEK Solutions™ Rail Kits in hand, the 1-4BCT now has a full complement of tools to effectively, efficiently, and safely secure mission-critical equipment for transport. The have eliminated any doubts as to operational readiness when it comes to rail transport and are ready to deploy at a moment’s notice.
